“I am a very upbeat person, I continue to improve, and I will beat this injury.”
— Brian K.
When Brian was a sophomore in college, he was practicing gymnastics when he hit his head and broke his neck at C4-5. Brian’s injury classifies as a complete spinal cord injury.
Brian was first introduced to the RT300 at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia.
“It felt good to be doing active therapy. I enjoyed seeing my muscles move again.”
He decided to get one as soon as possible. He uses it every day for both arms and legs. He has used similar devices in the past but enjoys the RT300 for home use.
“I love the RT300 and all the RT machines. They are keeping me healthy and aiding in my improvement. They are keeping my muscles toned so that I may walk again,”
Brian’s muscles have remained bulked and he has decreased spasms. Due to the arm component of the RT300, his shoulders no longer show subluxation.
When he doesn’t use his device, he feels like his day is incomplete.
“I can’t imagine not having my bike.”
In his free time, Brian likes to play Magic the Gathering, and going to the movies and sporting events. He also coaches a volleyball team and spends time with family and friends.
His goal is walk and to be a more active part of his community. Brian currently serves as an inspirational speaker to share his story and help others.
“Never give up hope and keep pushing forward. Don’t be afraid to rely on your support system.”
We believe in you, Brian! You continue to inspire us and many others every day!
