About the Client

The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation supports the mission of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) through developing relationships with local citizens and organizations who wish to take part in the expansion and improvement of healthcare services provided in Harford County.

Project Challenges

Upper Chesapeake Hospital and the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation combined forces to finance the construction of the Kauffman Cancer Research and Treatment Center, and Render Perfect was asked to create a promotional video that announced, explained, and celebrated the grand opening of the new building. Challenges included working around an in-construction environment without revealing that the environment was incomplete, and scheduling interviews with more than 12 busy doctors, surgeons, and patients to support the narrative of the video over the course of more than 10 onsite production days.

Event Video

The full Event Video settled at 8 minutes, and effectively highlighted the State-of-the-Art building, the services provided within the building, describing the multidisciplinary care provided within the building, and put the spotlight on the exceptional staff members, all while effectively communicating the caring, compassionate, warm atmosphere of the establishment.

The Results

The UCH staff was absolutely thrilled with the final product. The Kauffman Cancer Center video provided by Render Perfect was showcased at the Dedication Ceremony for the new building, and facilitated the raising of more than $300,000 in donations to the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation. The video itself went on to win an Aster Video Marketing Award and a Telly Award.
